When the state embarks on capital improvement projects, it often borrows money for those projects by issuing bonds. Bonds are then repaid, with interest, at a later date. The most common type of bonds are general obligation bonds, which are backed by the "full faith, credit, and taxing powers" of the state. This list of capital investment and bonding bills and laws is not meant to be comprehensive.
