Function:

Coordinate the development of plans and activities relating to Spanish-speaking people among the agencies of Minnesota state government and other agencies and persons.

History:

This liaison position was created via executive order by Gov. Wendell Anderson. In 1978 the Legislature expanded the work of this liaison position by creating the Spanish Speaking Affairs Council.
