Function: Plan and coordinate efforts of public and private nonprofit agency services to migrant workers in Minnesota.
History:
Gov. Wendell Anderson created the position of Migrant Services Coordinator, along with the Migrant Affairs Task Force, in 1974 via executive order. In 1976, he issued another executive order abolishing the position of Migrant Services Coordinator and the task force, and creating the position of Spanish Speaking People Liaison.
