Mandate Details

Description: Report on transit safety and rider experience, including: transit safety issues; actions taken to improve safety; the rider code of conduct; the Transit Rider Investment Program (TRIP); activities of TRIP personnel; policies adopted; alternative resolution procedures; fare compliance inspections completed, warnings and citations issued by Metro Transit police; administrative citations appealed; crime on public transit and around transit stops and stations; the current and average number of peace officers employed by the Metro Transit police; the number of uniformed transit safety officials and community service officers serving as transit agents; impacts of the TRIP on fare compliance and customer experience for riders, including rates of fare violations; and recommendations for changes to the administrative citation program methods to improve safety on public transit and transit stops and stations.
