GENERAL NOTES

History of Minnesota: from the French Explorations to the Present Time, 1873 lists him as being 27 years old in 1854. So he must have been born around 1827. Find a Grave lists May 8, 1827. The History of the Morison or Morrison Family, p. 60 and his obituary in The Superior Times say that he was born May 10, 1827 in Sorel, Canada.

He came to the Minnesota Territory when he was 17 years old. He moved to Superior, Wisconsin in 1854.

He is buried at Saint Francis Cemetery, Superior, Wisconsin.
