Advise the Ombudsman for Mental Health and Mental Retardation is developing policies, plans, and programs to benefit the mentally ill, mentally retarded, chemically dependent and developmentally disabled.
According to Executive Order 94-4, the Ombudsman Committee for Mental Health and Mental Retardation expired 30 June 1994. Executive Order 94-4 (23 June 1994, Arne Carlson) establishes the Governor's Ombudsman Committee for Mental Health and Mental Retardation, with the same function and same number of members. Around 1997, the Committee appears to have returned to being called the Ombudsmand Committee for Mental Health and Mental Retardation. The reason for this is not known.
