Corrections Authority Advisory Commission

Function: To recommend people for membership on the Minnesota Corrections Authority (later, the Corrections Board). The committee, whose recommendations are advisory only, shall prepare and submit to the governor one or more recommendations for each appointment to the authority.
History:
The Advisory Commission was repealed by 1975 Minn. Laws Chap. 61 Subd. 4
Membership:
The Advisory committee shall consist of the following persons or their designees: the attorney general, the corrections ombudsman, the commissioners of corrections, public welfare, and human rights, and the following persons to be appointed by the governor: one representative each from a private social agency and a Minnesota institution of higher-learning, and two citizens from the community at large.
