Function: The main function of the GIS Office is to provide the Legislature with the means to do Redistricting once every 10 years in conjunction with the Census. The redistricting process uses many map layer data sets which the GIS Office provides and assists in maintaining. The GIS Office is the repository of statewide boundary information for legislative use.
