Advised the Minnesota Waste Management Board concerning solid waste management activities.
This council was set to expire June 30, 2003 according to 2004 Minn. Stat. 115A.12
The membership of the Solid Waste Management Advisory Council was to be broadly representative of the geographic areas and interests of the state; 1/3 citizens, 1/3 representatives of local government units, 1/3 representatives from private solid waste management firms; at least one member to be experienced in each of the following areas: state and municipal finance; solid waste collection, processing, and disposal; solid waste reduction and resource recovery; at least 3 members experienced in the private recycling industry.
