Manpower Services Advisory Council

Active dates:1970 - 1973
Function: Assisted the commissioner of Manpower Services in formulating policies and resolving problems relating to the administration of Minnesota Statutes sections 268.03-.24, assuring impartiality and freedom from political influence in the solution of such problems.
History: The name of this advisory council changed as the department name changed. The Manpower Services Advisory Council was previously known as the Employment Security Advisory Council. In 1974, the name was changed again to the State Advisory Council on Employment Services.
Membership: Appointed by governor; Composed of an equal number of employer and employee representatives selected because of their vocation, employment or affiliation and of such members representing the general public as the governor may designate.
