Mandate Details

Description: Report with legislative recommendations: (1) the use of intentionally added perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in electronic or other internal components of upholstered furniture under the state's 2025 prohibition; (2) the use of lead and cadmium in internal electronic components of keys fobs under the state's prohibition; (3) the use of lead in pens or mechanical pencils under in the state's prohibition; and (4) the use of intentionally added PFAS in firefighting foam used in fire suppression systems installed in airport hangers in the state's prohibitions; and on whether extensions should be allowed for the uses of the chemicals named above.
