Mandate Details

Description: Report on data related to the cases and individuals and families serviced by each of the grant recipients providing legal services with funds received from civil legal services funds. The data shall be provided for each individual organization and, when possible, for each geographic region the organization works in, and provided in the aggregate to protect the privacy of the individuals and families served by the organization.

Note: The State Board of Civil Legal Aid came into being as of July 1, 2025. The Board is planning for its first report to the Legislature under Minn. Stat. 480.243 Subd. 3 to be published in July 2026. The predecessor entity was the Legal Services Advisory Committee, which reported directly to the Supreme Court (not legislatively mandated). The committee's final annual report was submitted in 2025.
