The frequency pattern of this report was changed by amendment by 2024 Minn. Laws Chap. 109 Art. 3 Sec. 1. An initial report is due by November 3, 2025, with biennial reports due on November 3 of even-numbered years thereafter (starting with November 3, 2026).
In collaboration with the Minn. Dept. of Education and the Office of Higher Education, and in consultation with the Indian Affairs Council and other ethnic councils along with other community partners, including students of color and American Indian students.
The initial report must include a recommendation of whether a state advisory council should be established to address the shortage of racially and ethnically diverse teachers and what the composition and charge of such an advisory council would be if established.
The report must be available to the public on the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board website.
