Note: The frequency pattern of this report was changed by amendment by 2024 Minn. Laws Chap. 109 Art. 3 Sec. 1. An initial report is due by November 3, 2025, with biennial reports due on November 3 of even-numbered years thereafter (starting with November 3, 2026). Department of Education must collaborate with the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board and the Office of Higher Education to publish a summary report of each of the programs they administer and any other programs receiving state appropriations that have or include an explicit purpose of increasing the racial and ethnic diversity of the state's teacher workforce to more closely reflect the diversity of students. The initial report must include a recommendation of whether a state advisory council should be established to address the shortage of racially and ethnically diverse teachers and what the composition and charge of such an advisory council would be if established. The report must be available to the public on the commissioner's website.
