    Session Notes: He won a special election on March 11, 2025 for the seat that was vacant because on January 17, 2025, the Minnesota Supreme Court voided the special election for House District 40B that was to be held on January 28, 2025. The voided January 28, 2025 special election was called because the district 40B general election was contested. It was determined that the winner in the general election, Curtis Johnson, did not live in the district. He was sworn in on the first day of session in 2025.
