Toensing indicates that all three McKusick's were related. We don't know how Levi H. McKusick was related to the other two.
He was of Scottish and English ancestry.
Toensing lists his birth year as 1853. Progrssive Men of Minnesota lists 1854. The Minnesota Legislative Manuals, 1889 and 1901 list 1855. The Minnesota Legislative Manual, 1883 says he was 29 years old.
He came to Pine City, Minnesota in August, 1877 or 1878.
"Mr. McKusick's political affiliations have always been with the Republican party..." (Progressive Men of Minnesota, 1897, p. 443)
