She came to Coon Rapids, Minnesota in 1950. She moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas in 1978. She then moved to Port Hueneme, California in 1987.
She ran unsuccessfully for the Minnesota Senate in the 1966 election.
She was a member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. (Minnesota Legislative Commission on the Economic Status of Women)
She died at home in Port Hueneme, California. Her funeral was held in Oxnard, California. A memorial service was held in August at First Congregational Church in Anoka, Minnesota.
