GENERAL NOTES

He came to American in 1890. He lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota then moved to St. Cloud, Minnesota. He bought a tract of timber land in Benton County, Minnesota in the fall of 1900 and made it into a farm.

He was a member of the Democratic Party.

He ran unsuccessfully as the Democratic Party endorsed candidate for Governor of Minnesota in the 1922 election.

His brother, Christopher, was a member of the Norwegian Parliament.
