GENERAL NOTES

The 1889 Minnesota Legislative Manual, 1889 lists his last name as Summers. The Minnesota Journal of the House, 1889 and the historical lists in the Minnesota Legislative Manuals list Sumner. Toensing listed both names as though they were two people. All of the evidence we came across indicates they were the same person.

He came to Minnesota in 1862.
