The Minnesota Legislative Manual, 1868 lists his post office as Red Wood. Minnesota Place Names doesn't list a Red Wood city. Red Wing is the closest match in Goodhue County.

He came to Minnesota in 1854.

He was buried in Wacouta Town Cemetery in Goodhue County, Minnesota.
