He came to Otter Tail County, Minnesota in 1869. He moved to Kittson County, Minnesota in 1883. He moved to Outlook, Saskatchewan Canada in 1903.
He is buried in Saskatchewan River Lutheran Cemetery near Outlook, Saskatchewan Canada.
