                                    He came to Marine, Minnesota in the spring of 1868, with his parents.  He moved to a homestead in Trade Lake Township, Burnett County, Wisconsin in 1869, with his parents.
He was a charter member of the Minnehaha Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
He died at the home of his daughter in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin and was buried at Hillside Cemetery.
