GENERAL NOTES
He ran unsuccessfully as the Independent Republican party endorsed candidate for the Minnesota House of Representatives in the 1982 election. His opponent, Dick Cohen, defeated him by 14 votes so a recount occurred. The recount confirmed that Dick Cohen had won.
He moved to the Rainbow Inn resort near Garrison and Onamia, Minnesota in 1988.
He ran unsuccessfully as the Independent Republican party endorsed candidate for Minnesota Treasurer in the 1986 election. He lost to Michael McGrath.
He had diabetes.
He died after suffering a heart attack in a hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota. he was buried in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minnesota.
