GENERAL NOTES
Toensing lists his birth year as 1830?, a relative and his obituary say it was 1829.
He came to Minnesota in 1863 or 1864 and purchased a farm in Garden City Township near Mills Lake.
He died from accidental poisoning when he drank a quantity of corrosive sublimate, used to poison rats, that he thought was home made wine. He died in Garden City, Minnesota and was buried in the Garden City cemetery.
