GENERAL NOTES

Toensing lists his city of residence as Bloomington, Minnesota. The Minnesota Legislative Manual, 1889 lists Lac qui Parle. This seems unlikely since the only reference we can find is a Lac qui Parle Township and it was first settled by homesteaders in 1868. The History of Minnesota: from the Earliest French Explorations to the Present Time, 1873 lists Oak Grove.

McLeod County, Minnesota was named after him.

Total Days Served: 1584
