He moved to Jacksonville, Illinois in 1834. He moved to Marine, Minnesota in 1839.
He died in Minnesota.
"Orange Walker, one of the original settlers, was without doubt Marine's most prominent citizen during its first fifty years. He was the only one of the partners who remained in the lumber company t the very end. In 1845 Walker became manager of the Marine Lumber Company at a salary of three hundred dollars a year." "A post office was established at Marine Mills, the fourth in the St. Croix Valley. Orange Walker was named the first postmaster, a position he continued to hold for twenty years, with one twelve-month period out as a member of the second Minnesota state legislature.
