Seek, evaluate, and recommend to the governor outstanding persons who are learned in the law to fill vacancies that may occur on the trial courts of Minnesota.


Up to 15 members including 1 members appointed by the governor from each of 10 judicial districts; 3-4 members-at-large, appointed by governor; chair, appointed by governor. (per Exec. order 89-4)
