Indochinese Resettlement Task Force

Function: Provide information and technical assistance to refugees, and to communities and public and private agencies assisting Indochinese to resettle in Minnesota; including work with private industries to develop work opportunities and job training.
History:
Governor Anderson said the Task Force will operate from December 1st, 1975 through August 31st, 1976, with a Federal government grant of $36,000 providing full support. The Task Force was established at the request of the Federal government.
Membership:
Representatives of social services agencies, responsible for resettlement of Indochinese refugees in Minnesota, plus representatives of the Vietnamese and Cambodian communities, private industry, the Governor's Manpower Office, and the Departments of Education, Employments Services and Public Welfare.
Stanley Breen, a staff assistant in the governor's office was to serve as liaison to the Task Force.
