Hazardous Materials Incident Response Advisory Task Force

Function: Advises the Minnesota commissioner of public safety in the development of a plan for a statewide system of response to spills, emissions, or exposure to hazardous materials by regional teams established by the state, local government emergency responders, and private industry.
The commissioner shall submit the plan, along with any recommendations for further legislation, to the legislature by January 1, 1991.
Membership:
10 members (commissioner of public safety, director of Pollution Control Agency, 3 persons representing fire service, 3 persons representing private industry, 1 representative of the Minnesota League of Cities, 1 representative of the general public); appointed by commissioner of public safety; no compensation.
