Governor's Task Force on Math and Science

Function:

A Governor's Task Force on Math and Science be created to study and develop recommendations about improving math and science education in elementary and secondary schools.

The Task Force shall have the following duties: By December 15, 1987, the Task Force shall report to the Governor and Legislature its recommendations for improving math and science education in elementary and secondary schools.

Membership:

The Task Force shall be composed of fifteen members, including the following:

  • Two secondary teachers of science and mathematics
  • One public school administrator
  • Two persons representing higher education
  • One representative from the Minnesota High Technology Council
  • Nine public members.
