Abused Children Advisory Task Force
Active dates:1991-1993
Function: Advises the Minnesota commissioner of corrections on all planning, development, data collection, rulemaking, funding, and evaluation of programs and services to abused children, other than matters of a purely administrative nature. Also serves as liaison between the commissioner of corrections and organizations that provide services to abused children, and serves as an advocate within the Department of Corrections for the rights of abused children.
Membership:
12 members (no more than 6 shall be representatives of the community or governmental organizations that provide services to abused children; 1/2 shall be from the Twin Cities metropolitan area, 1/2 from nonmetropolitan regions); appointed by commissioner of corrections; reimbursement of expenses.
