Data Collection Advisory Committee

Function: Advises the Minnesota commissioner of health and the Minnesota Health Care Commission concerning methods of data collection that minimize administrative burdens, address data privacy concerns, and meet the needs of health service researchers.
History:
The Committee was repealed in 1995, chapter 234, Art. 5, Sec. 24. It is being replaced by the Data Institute Board of Directors.
Membership:
15 members (health service researchers, health care providers, health carriers, businesses that purchase health coverage, and consumers; 6 members must be health care providers); appointed by commissioner of health.
