State Curriculum Advisory Committee

Advises the Minnesota State Board of Education and Minnesota Department of Education on the curriculum planning, evaluation, and reporting (PER) process involving school districts in Minnesota.

By February 1 of each year, the commissioner, in cooperation with the state curriculum advisory committee, shall prepare a report for the education committees of the legislature. The report shall include the recommendations of the state curriculum advisory committee.

History:

Created 1985. Its statute section 126.67 repealed by 1987 Minn. Laws Chap. 398 Art. 8 Sec. 45, but reauthorized in the same law (1987 Minn. Laws Chap. 398 Art. 8 Sec. 22, coded Minn. Stat. 126.665).

The committee expires June 30, 1996 per M.S. 126.665 as amended by the Laws of 1993.
