Senate Select Committee on Home Ownership Affordability and Availability

Function: The committee is established to make findings and recommendations to the Senate regarding issues affecting the availability of affordable owner-occupied housing.
History:
The Senate passed Senate Resolution 101 on May 14, 2019, which established this select committee. The committee's first meeting was on August 13, 2019. The select committee shall be dissolved upon the adjournment sine die of the 91st Session in 2020.
Membership:
Rich Draheim (Chair); Karin Housley; Mark Koran; Daniel Sparks; Kari Dziedzic
The Select Committee shall consist of five members of the Senate, with three members appointed by the majority leader and two members appointed by the minority leader. The appointments must be completed by July 1, 2019, and the majority leader shall designate the chair of the Select Committee from its membership.
