The Commitee is expected to provide feedback and ensure the findings of the Results First Initiative are understood, trusted, and used.
A bipartisan provision enacted during the 2015 legislative session directed Minnesota Management & Budget (MMB) to implement an evidence-based policy framework, using the Pew-MacArthur Results First Framework. Through the Results First Initiative, MMB uses high-quality evidence to estimate the extent to which publicly funded services may generate positive, cost-effective outcomes for Minnesotans. MMB partners with state, local, and national partners to identify and estimate the benefits and costs of a range of public services that support the well-being of Minnesotans. Minnesota is one of 24 states collaborating with the Pew Charitable Trusts to undertake this work. Minnesota Management & Budget established an advisory committee to provide feedback and ensure the findings of the Results First initiative are understood, trusted, and used.
Advisory committee members serve two-year terms and meet quarterly.
