Integration Revenue Replacement Advisory Task Force

Function: To develop recommendations for repurposing integration revenue funds to create and sustain opportunities for improved educational outcomes that narrow and close the academic achievement gap.
Requires the Commissioner to submit a task force report to the legislature by February 15, 2012, recommending how best to allocate funds previously allocated as integration revenue funds in order to achieve improved educational outcomes for students.
History:
The creation of the task force allowed the Minneapolis, St. Paul and Duluth public school systems to avoid the multi-million dollar cuts that were originally proposed.

12 members: 6 members appointed by the Commissioner, 3 members appointed by the House Speaker, 3 members appointed by the Senate.
