Function: Adopt rules for plumbing code for the State of Minnesota, final interpretations of code when submitted to the board, adopt rules to regulate plumbing licensure and registration.
History:
The Plumbing Code Advisory Committee (PCAC) was formed to advise the Department of Labor and Industry about proposed amendments to the Minnesota Plumbing Code - September 2006 to June 2007. It was replaced by the Plumbing Board in 2007.
Plumbing Code Advisory Council (formerly the Minnesota Department of Health Plumbing Code Advisory Council) 1997 to 2005.
Membership:
The Plumbing Board has 14 members; 12 that are appointed by the Governor. One member is appointed by the DLI commissioner and one non-voting member is appointed by the commissioner of health.
