Minnesota Public Employees Insurance Program

Function: Statewide program to provide public employees with life insurance and hospital, medical, and dental coverage through provider organizations. Advise on program structure and activities. The Commissioner of Employee Relations will be the administrator and may determine its funding arrangements.
History: The Secretary of State's Annual Compilation and Statistical Report of Multi-Member Agencies lists the name of this group as "Department of Employee Relations Public Employees Insurance Program" for the years 2002-2007.
Membership: Ten members: five representatives of labor (employees) and five representatives of management (employers).
