Encourage school boards to make full use of charter school opportunities, encourage creation of innovative schools, provide leadership and support for charter school sponsors to increase the innovation in and effectiveness, accountability, and fiscal soundness of charter schools, serve in facilitating operations of new and existing charter schools, provide financial management training, review charter school applications and make recommendations, facilitate compliance with auditing and other reporting requirements.
The Advisory Council was repealed by 2009 Minn. Laws Chap. 96 Art. Sec. 41 Subd. 2a (H.F. 2)
7 members from throughout the state who have demonstrated experience with or interest in charter schools.
