Water Well Contractors Advisory Council (1972-1978)
The council was created in 1971 with 8 members. In 1973 the membership was increased to 9, in 1980 to 13, and in 1983 to 16. In 1982 the language which stated that the council would expire as provided in Minn. Stat. 15.059 was repealed, but this language was reinstated in 1983.

16 members (1 member from the Health Department, appointed by the commissioner; 1 member from the Department of Natural Resources, appointed by the commissioner; 1 member from the Minnesota Geological Survey of the University of Minnesota, appointed by the director; 2 members engaged in the business of exploring for minerals; 2 public members; 1 member from the Pollution Control Agency, appointed by the commission; 1 professional engineer; 1 geologist, 6 contractors actively engaged in the water well drilling industry); terms governed by Minn. Stat. 15.059; compensation governed by Minn. Stat. 15.059.
