Sexual Assault Advisory Council

Function: The Advisory Council advises the Minnesota commissioner of corrections on all planning, development, data collection, rulemaking, funding, and evaluation of programs and services to sexual assault victims (other than matters of a purely administrative nature).
History:
The 2003 Annual Compilation and Statistical Report of Multi-member Agencies states: "the Council expires on June 30, 2003".
Membership:
12 members (no more than 6 shall be representative of community or governmental organizations that provide services to sexual assault victims; 1/2 shall be from the metropolitan area, 1/2 from non-metropolitan areas of the state); appointed by commissioner of corrections; 2-year terms; expenses reimbursed.
Notes:
The Sexual Assault Advisory Council submitted a "Report to the Legislature" in 1992.
