Prevention, Reduction, and Recycling Advisory Council

Function: Make recommendations to the Minnesota Office of Environmental Assistance on its policy, programs, and legislation in pollution prevention, waste reduction, reuse and recycling, resource conservation, and the management of hazardous waste.
History:
1Sp 2005 Minn. Laws Chap. 1 Art. 2 Sec. 129 appears to have transferred the duties of the Prevention, Reduction, and Recycling Advisory Council to a newly created Environmental Innovations Advisory Council.
Membership:
Not less than nine nor more than 24 members. The membership shall consist of one-third citizen representatives, one-third representatives of government, and one-third representatives of business and industry. The director (of the Office of Environmental Assistance) may appoint nonvoting members from other environmental and business assistance providers in the state. Members shall serve without compensation but shall be reimbursed for their reasonable expenses as determined by the director.
