Function:

Study alternatives for continuing financing of Minnesota's statewide 911 telephone emergency system.

History:

By January 1 of each year, the department of administration shall report to the legislature the progress that has been made in the implementation of sections 1 to 12 of Minn. Stat. 403.

The commission may act from the time its members are appointed until the commencement of the 1978 session of the legislature. It shall report its findings and recommendations to the legislature not later than November 15, 1977, but may supplement them until January 15, 1978.

Membership:

The commission shall consist of two members of the house of representatives appointed by the speaker, two members of the senate appointed by the subcommittee on committees and three persons appointed by the governor.
