The objective of the Commission was to report to the 1989 Minnesota Legislature on housing trends and issues, especially demographic changes, state tax laws and how they affect housing affordability, incentives for home ownership, and ways in which homes can be made more affordable.
The commission, with the help of a number of technical working groups, looked at the issues of affordable housing facing Minnesota and prepared recommendations in a report provided below. The Commission met throughout the summer of 1988. No official minutes were prepared for these meetings.
Final Report of the commission lists members.
