The ombudsperson helps people who are enrolled in a health plan for their Medical Assistance (MA) or MinnesotaCare benefits. The ombudsperson helps members get care and resolve billing problems. The ombudsperson provides information and helps with the managed care grievance and appeal process available through the health plan and the state.
Each county also maintains a "managed care county advocate" who works in collaboration with the state ombudsperson.
Please contact a librarian with any questions. The Minnesota Agencies database is a work in progress.
