Governor's Job Training Council

Function:

Under the federal Job Training Partnership Act, the council reviews plans of all Minnesota state agencies that provide employment, training, and related services; provides comments and recommendations to the governor, state legislature, and state and federal agencies on the relevance and effectiveness of employment and training programs in Minnesota. Governor's Workforce Development Council
History:

Authorization repealed (1995 Minn. Laws Chap. 131 Sec. 3). Succeeded by the Governor's Workforce Development Council.
Membership:

15 members appointed by the governor. As of 1984, 27 members appointed by governor, including government employees and members of the public.
