Immigrants in Minnesota
During the 2007 legislative session, the “Dream Act” proposed giving in-state college tuition to undocumented immigrants living in Minnesota who had attended a Minnesota high school for at least three years. The bill did not pass, but its proposal ignited debate about the status of immigrants living in Minnesota and about what rights and duties they should be accorded. The library has many reports about immigrants in education and in the workforce as well as immigration generally.
